Meeting Minutes

Date: August 6, 2015

Place: North Greene Band Room

Time: 6 pm

Attendees: Angelique Gass, Alicia Hyatt, Summer Robertson, Angel Cox, Mandi Mitchell, Dale Trombley, Brandon Woods, Heather Youngblood

Meeting was called to order at 6:20 pm by President Summer Robertson

July Secretary’s Report: Dale made a motion to accept the minutes as written, Summer seconded.  All approved.

Treasurer’s Report:

On hand at end of July:

General Fund $1446. 52

Uniform Fund $578. 19

Total Assets for the end of July $2024.71

Old Business

Butter Braids Fundraiser will begin on August 14. The salesperson will bring samples for the students to try and will explain the program to them.

Cheesecake Fundraiser is scheduled for Sept. 18 through early October. Products will be delivered to the band room around the end of October.

Zumba– no update

Bulls Gap Race Track– parking cars on August 20 at 7 pm.  We need 6 to 8 people to help with this.  The band will receive $500 for this service.

Baileyton Ruritan Dinner August 20-serving 10 to 12 people plus band volunteers.  Angel is organizing the food donations.

Full Moon Harvest Celebration August 29 – Boosters will have a booth selling water and sodas.  Parents are asked to donate Pepsi products in cans. Volunteers will be needed to man the booth.

Walmart Sunday, August 15- 2 to 5 pm Boosters will have tables at both main entrances selling Cap’n D’s coupon books.  Volunteer will be needed.

Mustang Alley-no update

New Business

Baileyton Days September 12, The band will march in the parade at 10am. Summer made a motion that the boosters set up a booth sell drinks.  Angel seconded.  All approved.  Volunteers will be needed.

Arby’s -Michelle has contacted the restaurant to ask them if they would sell the boosters sandwiches to re-sell in the concession stand during football games.  She will let us know when she hears back from them.

Concession stand menu-  Some suggestions discussed: Frito Pies, offer a meal deal for $5, hang a sign on the side of the press box building for better visibility.

Greeneville Roadblock-August 22 from 9am to 12pm at the intersection next to the Sandwich House.  Angel motioned, Summer seconded.  All approved.

Business Cards from general booster information- Dale suggested that they be ordered from Vistaprint for approximately 500/$9.99.  Brandon motioned, Summer seconded.  All approved.  Dale will place the order.

Other Fundraiser suggestions:

Summer suggested that the boosters host a craft fair at Christmas. Lisa brought in information about selling sunglasses with the Huskies logo. Our cost would be 300/$5 each or 200/$6.25 each. Lisa also brought in information about a Yankee Candles fundraiser.  Boosters would make a 40% profit on sales, November 20 is the deadline for orders for Christmas delivery.

Kyle Gorbski has been hired as the new band director’s assistant.  Mrs. Rimmer has taken another job.  Boosters will pay Kyle $150 for the additional work he does after school with the percussion section. He had previously been paid $400 for his services.

Next meeting will be Thursday, September 3 at 6 pm in the band room.
