Meeting was called to order at 6:25 pm by President Summer Robertson
Secretary’s Report: Dale motioned to accept the August minutes as written, Louis seconded. All approved.
On Hand at end of August:
General Fund $4113.88, Uniform Fund $953.53, Total Assets at end of August: $5067.41
Payables outstanding: Composer $1000, Music Doctor order $899, T-shirt order $800 (approx), Band Competition fees $550, Colorguard Uniforms $200 (approx), New Bibbers $150 (approx)
Business Card– 6th grade night, Mr. Woods gave out the band booster card to parents. Some parents showed interest in joining booster club.
Christmas Craft Fair-Louis will ask Mrs. Weems for permission and available date in November for use of the gym to host a craft fair as a fundraiser for the boosters.
Band Trailer– It has come to the boosters’s attention that there is an issue with the school system’s insurance covering instruments transported in the band trailer. Louis will investigate.
Krispie Kreme Fundraiser- Michelle has forms printed and ready to go when boosters decide to hold fundraiser. This will be discussed later.
Talent Show– Boosters have discussed hosting a talent show for the school, but there is already one in the spring. Subject was tabled.
Food City Card– Michelle asked whether the band program could be linked as a recipient of funds through the Food City card. More information is needed.
T-shirt Sales- Boosters have discussed several times, selling North Greene HS t-shirts as a fundraiser.
Food Coupons for Concession Stand– It was discussed and agreed that a coupon will be printed by Michelle to be handed out at the gates at football games. The coupon will offer a free drink with purchase of Arby’s sandwich, funnel cake or frito pie.
Baileyton Days Sept 12-Louis will check to see whether there is space for boosters to have a booth and what we would be allowed to sell. It was agreed that we would sell cold drinks.
Fair Share Fees/Music Doctor Orders– Mr. Woods has been given a list of students that still owe money. He agreed to send out letters to those students as a reminder. Fair Share fee is $100 per student. Music Doctor orders are for equipment ordered for use by the students, not everyone placed an order.
Cheesecake Fundraiser– Representative will be at the band room on Friday, September 18 to pass out order forms and answer questions. Event will run through October 2.

Next meeting will be Thursday, October 1 at 6 pm in the band room. Everyone is encouraged to attend!
