January 2016 Band Booster Meeting Minutes

Attendees: Heather Youngblood, Dale Trombley, Brandon Woods, Kyle Gorbski, Michelle Miller, Geoffrey Miller, Louis Robertson, Summer Robertson

Meeting was called to order at 6:05 pm by President Summer Robertson

Secretary’s Report: Louis motioned to accept the November minutes as written. Brandon seconded. All approved.

Treasurer’s Report:

On Hand at end of December:

General Fund $2095.60, $1411.97 Uniform Fund, Total Assets on hand at end of December $3507.57

Old Business:


Baileyton Ruritan has asked the Boosters to provide meals for some of their meetings in 2016. Boosters will be paid $150 per meal.  The dates of these meetings are: April 21, May 19, August 18, October 20, November 17. An announcement will be sent out to band parents requesting donations.

Butterbraid Sales: Our next sale will begin February 12.

Roadblocks: One in Greeneville, One in Baileyton during 2016. 8 people are needed each day, in 2 hour shifts. Dates will be announced later.

Krispie Kreme Donuts: Cards will be sold towards the end of this school year.  Hot donuts will be sold at the concession stand in the fall.

Baileyton Days in September: Boosters need to sign up now in order to be able to sell the foods we want to sell. Summer will talk with Angel Gass to make arrangements.

Other ideas discussed were Kimberley’s Candles, hosting a Chili cook-off, Silent Auction at the Spring Concert and Christmas Concert next December.

Mr. Woods’ Update:

Senior Clinic: Saturday, January 9th Mr. Woods will take 6 students to audition for All State-East Senior Clinic which will be held February 4-6.  Hotel rooms will be needed, Mr. Woods will let us know about payment.

Cheesecake Top Seller Prizes are being determined.

Spring Trip to Cincinnati will be Friday April 1-Sunday April 3. Total cost for students is $245. A $50 deposit is due by January 15, $95 payment by February 5, and $100 payment by March 4. Paperwork has gone home with students.

Spring Concert Thursday, April 28 at NPAC. A Silent Auction will be held and donations for it will be requested soon. A special guest musician will perform at the concert which should bring a large audience.  More on this later.

Next meeting will be February 4 at 6 pm.  All band parents are invited to attend.
