Gwinnett County Public Schools
North Gwinnett High School is one of sixteen high schools in the Gwinnett County Public School System, a dynamic school system currently serving over 152,000 students. GCPS is one of the fastest-growing school systems in the nation; student enrollment increases by more than 6,000 students per year. By school year 2007-2008, student enrollment in Gwinnett is projected to reach more then 160,000. Music is taught at all levels K-12 and Gwinnett has been recognized as one of the most committed districts to Fine Arts in the United States.

North Gwinnett High School is located in Suwanee, Georgia, a small city of more than 10,000 in north metro Atlanta. Suwanee was one of the fastest-growing cities in Georgia through the 1990s. Ideally located at the crossroads of major transportation corridors, Suwanee efficiently manages booming growth while preserving a small-town-America way of life.

The Band at North Gwinnett is an integral part of high school and community life in and around the Suwanee-Sugar Hill area. The program includes the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Marching Band, and various Chamber Ensembles within the winds and percussion sections.

The Instrumental Music Department at North Gwinnett strives to maintain a balanced program in all facets of music education, including the development of the individual musician. Over the years, the North Gwinnett Band program has consistently produced excellent musicians who are in demand by colleges and universities throughout the Southeast and many parts of the country.
